Terms of use
Meridian is a scheduling app with free and premium tiers, provided as-is. These terms cover what that means for you.
1. Acceptance
By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. What the service is
Meridian is a scheduling app for mapping weekly availability across time zones. It operates in three tiers:
- Unauthenticated / demo — a browser-only experience where all data stays in your browser's local storage, with offline export/import via
.meridianfiles. - Signed-in (free) — you sign in with Google, and your profile is verified and stored on our servers. Scheduling data still lives in your browser.
- Premium — the full server-connected experience with workspaces, team invitations, and calendar sync. Scheduling and team data are stored on our servers.
The service is provided at the discretion of the maintainer. There is no service-level agreement, no uptime guarantee, and no commitment to preserve any data you enter.
3. "As-is" — no warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including (but not limited to) implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or match your expectations.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither TouchSplit.IO Team nor any contributor to Meridian is liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service — including any loss of data, loss of productivity, missed meetings, or missed opportunities. If you don't like this, don't use the service.
5. Your data and exported files
If you use Meridian without signing in, everything you type stays in your
browser. When you export a .meridian file, it's generated
locally and saved to your device. You own that file. You're responsible
for how you store and share it. If you send it to someone, we have no
visibility into the transit or the recipient and can't help recover or
retract it.
If you sign in with Google, your profile data is stored on our servers. For Premium users, additional scheduling and workspace data is also stored server-side. All server-side data is encrypted at rest. You retain ownership of your data regardless of tier. See the Privacy Policy for full details on what is stored and how to request deletion.
6. Acceptable use
- Don't use the site to violate any law or regulation.
- Don't attempt to probe, scan, or interfere with our infrastructure, rate-limit our CDN, or access the private team backend.
- Don't try to scrape or automate the app in ways that burden the service for others.
- Don't impersonate the maintainer or the project.
We reserve the right to block abusive traffic at the CDN layer without notice.
7. Intellectual property
The Meridian app, its design, and its source code are the intellectual property of TouchSplit.IO Team. The name, visual identity, and any trademarks associated with the project are reserved. Third-party libraries used in the app are licensed under their own terms (listed on the Tech stack page).
You retain all rights to data you enter into the app and to any files you export.
8. Accounts and access tiers
Visitors can use Meridian's demo without creating an account. Signing in with Google creates an account where your profile is verified against Google and stored on our servers. Premium features — including workspaces, team invitations, and calendar sync — require an active Premium subscription. Attempting to access Premium features without authorization is covered by section 6 above.
